Root Xiaomi Redmi 2 And Install CWM Recovery
Xiaomi Redmi 2 or Xiaomi Hongmi 2 is a good quality Android smartphone
released on January, 2015 by Chinese smartphone giant “Xiaomi”. This
device is the successor of Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
Redmi 2 comes with a 4.7 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display which is
powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along with 2 GB RAM and it runs
on Android 4.4.4 KitKat based MIUI 6.0 ROM. If you would like to root
Xiaomi Redmi 2 then you are in the right page.
Just follow the instructions given in this page to install CWM recovery and gain root privileges in Redmi 2. By rooting your device, you will able to install stock Android Firmware (if you are not satisfied with MIUI ROM), or install Android apps which only supports rooted smartphones, or uninstall pre-installed Android apps which comes with the device, etc.

Upon finishing these prerequisites you can move forward to the main tutorial, which I have given below.
2) Next, download CWM recovery image compressed file to your computer, extract it and save the “recovery.img” in the “Redmi2root” folder.
3) Now, switch off your Redmi 2 smartphone and boot it into the Fastboot mode by pressing the Volume Down and Power Buttons simultaneously. Once your device boots into Fastboot mode, connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable.
4) Next, open the “Redmi2root” folder, hold “Shift” button in your Keyboard and Right click on an empty space. You will see “Open Command Window here” option. Click on it to open a command window there.

Tutorial To Install CWM Recovery In Xiaomi Redmi 2:

Once downloaded extract the files, save it in a folder and name it as “Redmi2root“.3) Now, switch off your Redmi 2 smartphone and boot it into the Fastboot mode by pressing the Volume Down and Power Buttons simultaneously.
